Everyone in a round has one beer, so each round\u2019s cost splits equally among those in it. Beer cost = the running total of a person\u2019s share across every round they were in. Balance = Paid \u2212 Beer cost (in £): positive means they\u2019re in credit and can sit out, negative means they owe. The rotation points at whoever owes the most. New players show as \u201csettling in\u201d until they\u2019ve had the set number of beers. This makes year-end spend line up with beers drunk, and stops small/second-round targeting \u2014 a cheap round only offsets a small share.

Close season & start a new oneArchives every current round into the all-time record and starts fresh. The roster carries over. A backup file downloads first and the server creates a recovery checkpoint before saving.
Fixed rulesTracking starts Thu 9 Jul 2026; earlier rounds are excluded. Thresholds: due at −£8, can sit out at +£15. Each round's recorded total is split equally between the beer drinkers in that round, while the buyer gets credit for the full amount paid. Balance = paid minus beer cost. One pint is counted per beer-round appearance. Dates are entered manually; Thursdays are the intended use.
A known-good checkpoint is written to the separate backup database automatically before every live data change. You can also create one manually.
Normal changes save directly to the live database. Site deployments are only needed when the code or design changes.
